Google Analytics Adds Features for Increased Functionality

    Google Evangelist Avinash Kaushik unveiled the many new features the Google Analytics team spent the last several months  developing at the eMetrics Summit in Washington D.C.

    The new features include:

    Advanced Segmentation

    This feature allows you to create on-the-fly segmentation of your visitor traffic. Select pre-defined queries or create custom segment reports using the segment builder with just a few mouse-clicks. Compare segments against historical data or compare with other segments in a side by side report.

    Custom Reports

    Create custom reports with the metrics you want. The new interface allows you to drag and drop allows to quickly organize the data in the order you prefer. You also have the ability to create tabs enabling you to quickly access the information you need and drill-down on related data.

    Data Export API

    Extend the functionality of Google Analytic s by providing developers with an API  to build custom dashboards, visualizations,  or interfaces.

    AdSense Reporting

    You can now view your AdSense data inside Google Analytics. View revenue, click data, impressions and more alongside your site traffic data. Get a better picture of your AdSense performance and discover areas that you can improve and exploit to generate increase revenue.

    Motion Charts

    Gives you a multi-dimensional view of data using visual charts. A sophisticated feature that allows you to understand complex data relationships and giving you greater insight into your users behaviour.

    Account Management Dashboard

    Easier navigation between different website profiles in your account. Get key performance indicators right from the dashboard. Managing your many websites just got a little easier!
